This is my 1/4 scale Whizzer motorbike with operating four stroke engine. Built entirely from pictures obtained over the months from e-bay sales of Whizzer parts. This project was inspired by memories of a bike my brother owned when I was too young to ride one myself. The bike took about four months to build and the engine about another four months. The engine has been run recently on a test stand and rpm is from 2000 to 8000. It overheats quickly, even with external fan cooling. I haven't attempted to start the engine while mounted on the bike. I use a model airplane starter motor with friction drive to the flywheel to turn it over. Compression is so strong that the starter has a tendency to slip off the flywheel and could do serious damage to the delicate parts of the bike. Controls to the engine are functional including the clutch, twist grip throttle control, and coaster brake. The pictures I have are from my display at NAMES this past April. The engine wasn't complete at that time, lacking carb, breather and ignition parts. A very demanding project. Thanks for looking and if you need any other info, just e-mail me.
