I have spent the past 3 weeks developing a carburetor for the Silver Bullet
(2 Cylinder, 4 cycle, 3/4 bore X 3/4 stroke) and Hercules (2
Cylinder, 4 cycle, 5/8 bore X 5/8 stroke). After building 14, I have a
pair of nice ones that performs well and can be used on other similar sized
engines. A desirable carburetor for this size engine has been practically
unavailable. I believe most builders are unfamiliar with of the physics and
dynamics involved with this type carb.
The 'Shores' carburetor, for lack of a catchy name, is a mechanically self
compensating throttle type carb, made from bar stock. It is small enough
that it does not overwhelm the engine.
I am willing to share the design with other builders in the form of a
copyrighted 'Drawing Package' that includes a 11 x 17 drawings and typed
construction suggestions for $3.00. The $3.00 will cover copying, shipping
and postage within the USA. 5/8/2003
